Indiana Muslim Advocacy Network has a statewide representative model called "Advisory Council." This council includes delegates of various Muslim organizations, mosques and Islamic schools located in the State of Indiana.

- Electing 4 out of the 9 board of directors for Indiana Muslim Advocacy Network
- Disseminating the knowledge and information obtained by Indiana Muslim Advocacy Network
- Building consensus on public policy issues
- Identifying members of the community to meet with legislators and testify at committee hearings
- Educating the community and the political process
To join our Advisory Council, the organization must be one of the following:
And must meet the following criteria:
- A Muslim political, social or religious organization aimed at furthering promoting Islamic interests or interest of Indiana Muslims
- An Islamic academic organization
- A Muslim advocacy group or networking organization
- A think tank aimed at promoting interest of Indiana Muslims
- A Political Action Committee aimed at promoting interests of Indiana Muslims
- A research organization aimed at promoting interests of Indiana Muslims
And must meet the following criteria:
- It must have existed for at least 2 years in the State of Indiana
- It has a majority Muslim membership/ board
- It is registered with the Secretary of State of Indiana
- It has an operating chapter or its principal place of business in Indiana
- It must not be under any investigation by any state or federal agencies, and it has not been found liable for financial corruption or any criminal activity.
